PowerLog Lite is a subset of PowerLog. It includes all of the PowerLog features except for the environmental corrections, PowerBatch and the interpretation modules other than Quicklook. Some of the features include:
Runs on personal computers running Windows 95, 98, 2000 or NT.
Multiple document interface allows multiple wells and multiple applications to be on the PowerLog desktop at the same time.
Extensive use of multiple selection along with "drag and drop". Extensive use of Ctrl-X, Ctrl-C, and Ctrl-V for cut, copy, and paste.
"Notify" - When a computational module creates or updates a curve that is included in a presentation on the desktop, the presentation will be immediately updated to reflect the new changes.
Parameter screens and presentation formats can be saved and then recalled for other wells in the same or different project.
Zones can be set up in a database and accessed in any of the modules.
Tops can be posted on logplots, connected from well to well in cross-sections (using Collage) or used to define depth intervals in calculations or presentations.
Import modules and export modules include ASCII, LAS, LBS, and LIS. Note that LAS, LBS, and LIS can be imported or exported in batch mode.
Quality presentations using flexible formatting can be made, including logplots, crossplots, histograms, and collages.
The Crossplot, Multiwell Crossplot, and Multiwell Histogram modules include the ability to interactively normalize data.
All presentations can be output to printers which support Windows drivers, or to .emf (enhanced Windows metafiles) files which can be imported into drawing packages such as Microsoft PowerPoint.
Powerful interactive editing functions (Depth Shift, Baseline Shift, Trend, Patch, and Splice) provide real-time results alongside the original data.
A powerful Mathpack module includes If-then-else logic with multiple discriminators.
A wide variety of robust computational modules are available.
A User Programming module is available for developing custom routines.
