Santa Fe's Germah Gas Discovery
Santa Fe Energy Resources has had another natural gas discovery on its Jabung Block of the Indonesian island of Sumatra. The company's fifth, this Germah discovery well flowed from three tests at a rate of 22 million cf/d gas and 1,414 bbl/d condensate. The tests were over 60 net ft of pay zone between 5,455 and 6,055 ft. An offset well is being drilled to determine the size of the discovery field.
Santa Fe and its partners Kerr-McGee and Amerada Hess each own 30% of the participating interest in the block. The remainder is held by Indonesia's state oil company, Pertamina's Exploration and Production wing.
