ScaleChek
The sensing employs a potentiometric principle where the potential difference between two electrodes is measured. Any changes in hydrogen ion or chloride ion concentrations will give a corresponding change in the potential difference.
Benefits
Early detection of calcium carbonate scale
Chemical injection treatment optimised
Early detection of water influx
Deferred oil minimised
Interventions reduced
Production increased
Features
Realtime sensing and analysis
Non-intrusive to production bore
Can be deployed at surface or downhole
Self cleaning sensor
The ScaleChek downhole hardware configuration is practically identical to that of a standard dual P&T configuration. The P&T gauge and the pH/CI gauge are multi-dropped off a single 1/4" electric cable. The gauges are housed in a mandrel that form part of the tubing string.
