This performance can be attributed to Sentry’s available options of gear reducers. The double-helical, involute-type gear reducer significantly exceeds all API and ISO standards, with a generous center relief that ensures positive lubrication to the oil galleries, for continuous feed to the bearings. Also available is the Double Circular Arc (DCA) with double-helical gears. The DCA tooth design has a lower profile and a wider structure that feels a considerable lower bending fatigue, which results in less opportunity for gear tooth breakage. The double contact on the teeth mating surfaces allows for greater load distribution which reduces stress concentration, and has a greater hydrodynamic lubrication. For either option, the reducer bearings are of large capacity and handle extreme loading under extreme weather conditions. The result is long-term efficiency and reliability.
