PAD A - Pressure Activation Device From The Annulus Datasheet

Source: Fike Corporation

A major problem in oil exploration and recovery is the failure of pressure activation devices. With over 60 years of experience in pressure activation, Fike Corporation has addressed this problem with the introduction of the Pressure Activation Device (PAD). The PAD is offered in two configurations, the PAD-A for pressure activation from the annulus and the PAD-I for pressure activation from within the tubing or drill string. (See Data Sheet O.1.04.01 for PAD-IBP).

The PAD is constructed of an Inconel 600 rupture disc, electron beam welded to a 316 Stainless Steel body. This provides a one-piece, reliable, accurate and robust rupture disc assembly. To provide the highest reliability and traceability, the units are pressure-tested for leaks and labeled with burst pressure, temperature and part number. Individual devices are labeled with lot number and burst pressure.
