Simulation Solution For Oil Production
UniSim Design Improves Plant Performance and Reduces Engineering Costs Throughout the Plant Life Cycle
Phoenix - Honeywell announced the release of UniSim Design Suite R350, the latest component of the UniSim family of software and engineering services for plant life cycle support. UniSim Design Suite R350 is based on the latest release of HYSYS software, marking Honeywell's entry into the offline simulation market. It offers simulation, design, performance monitoring, optimization and business planning for the oil and gas production, gas processing, petroleum refining and chemical industries.
"Simulation is a highly effective and cost-efficient way for process manufacturers to increase plant profitability," said Mark Hagen, director of Honeywell Process Solutions' Advanced Solutions. "With UniSim Design, Honeywell customers can use process knowledge to reap tremendous rewards such as long-term operational safety and stability."
The new solution allows process manufacturers to design, test, and train employees on new processes offline before they are implemented. For example, in the early stages of a project engineers can evaluate the impact of their design decisions on how the plant will operate, allowing them to pinpoint potential problems and instabilities and identify appropriate solutions. UniSim Design can also reduce engineering costs by eliminating the need for many error-prone manual processes, such as data-re-entry and data transfer, which account for up to 30 percent of engineering labor hours.
