Stepping Actuator
The actuator is designed for the remote operation of our production choke and control valve. It steps in 36° increments of stem-nut rotation in both the clockwise and counter-clockwise direction resulting in high precision of operation. Its maximum torque output exceeds the potential maximum torque required to operate our valves.
The actuator system has been tested under load to over one million cycles without maintenance or reduction in efficiency. Such endurance testing verifies that extended service life is achievable during operation of our choke valve.
The actuator provides "fail-in-last" position in the event of operating pressure supply failure. Manual operation is made possible by a 1-1/2" hex shaft that extends through the actuator housing and drives the valve stem nut directly.
Being of a continuous rotation design, the actuator is easy to mount and calibrate. It may be positioned in 45° rotational increments around the valve body centerline.
Electrical certification is available to UL, CSA, for Class 1, Div 1, Groups C and D; or to CENELEC to EEx d IIC T6 and EEx ia IIC T4.
