Stratos will be added to the TSE 300 Composite Index

(Toronto, ON) - Stratos Global Corporation is pleased to announce that they will be added to the TSE 300 Composite Index. Standard & Poor's (S&P) Canadian Index Operations named Stratos Global Corporation as one of the four companies to be added to the TSE 300 Composite Index effective after the close of business on Thursday, October 19, 2000.

The TSE 300 Composite Index was developed by the Toronto Stock Exchange in 1977. The index is managed by S&P Index Services Canada Division and overseen by the Canadian Index Policy Committee. The committee continually reviews and provides independent financial information, analytical services and credit ratings to the world's financial markets.
