Systems Engineering and Services
Bently Nevada Systems Engineering and Services (BNSES) has a multi-step process to take you to asset care best practices. At the end of each step you have the opportunity to continue to the next step on your own, proceed with BNSES to the next step, or open bid the next step to other engineering companies. We will provide you with deliverables that allow you this flexibility.
We have developed our hardware, software, and engineering services based on close cooperation with our customers. Our engineers will present our vision of how BNC can help you optimize your machinery asset management program. This is done to help you discover the best ways to apply BNC solutions to your plant.
We do understand that each customer is unique in their approach to business and we are prepared to engineer a custom solution to fit your specific needs.
A hard copy of our presentation will be provided. From here you can proceed to step two, or we can return with a follow-on presentation that more closely meets your specific business needs.
Start by determining which machinery assets are the highest importance to your business. This will allow you begin immediately improving protection and asset management for these critical machines, while planning a program for all your machinery.
Alternatively, we can review all of your machinery assets at this same time. We will provide an overview presentation to key plant personnel and a full report evaluating and prioritizing the risk associated with the machinery we surveyed. We look at machinery criticality based on two major criteria, effect on your production and cost. You can use this report to prepare your own asset care plan, proceed with us to Step Three, or use the report to request proposals for asset care plans.
We recommend that you do a condition evaluation for all your critical machines no matter what your decision is on the asset care plan.
Machinery Condition Evaluation
When you select BNSES to implement an asset care plan, we will assess the current condition of your machinery as part of the process. However, you should consider an immediate condition assessment for all your critical machinery.
Experienced Bently Machinery Diagnostics and Systems Engineers will work closely with your plant personnel to use our state-of-the-art diagnostics systems to determine the current condition of your machinery and protection systems.
You will be provided with a detailed report including action recommendations.
If all your machinery wasn't evaluated in Step One, we'll do it now. Then we will prepare recommendations on how to protect and manage each machine based on best practices and economic considerations. We will determine ROI based on your current and/or future operations.
We will provide an overview presentation to key plant personnel. You will be provided with a copy of this presentation in electronic and hard-copy format for your internal use.
We will provide a preliminary design package including transducer selection by type, transducer location for best signal quality, monitor type, strategy for protection, software recommendations with top level configuration information, ROI based on your financial procedures, overall costs and benefit, and an implementation plan. You can use the preliminary design package to proceed with your own detailed design, ask us to proceed to Step Four, or use it to open bid a detailed design or full project implementation.
We will also advise you of any potential machinery problems we have discovered in the process of our engineering survey with recommended actions.
You can start with Step Four. In that case we will perform all the tasks in Step Three but we'll go directly into detailed design rather than provide an interim preliminary design package.
The detailed engineering design includes drawings for transducer installation with all components defined by part number, bracket and support designs, monitor installation and cabinet designs, cable routing, system integration design, and first level software configuration information. You can use this design package to purchase and install the system yourself, or ask us to proceed to Step Five.
Select us to implement your plan. We have the project engineering and on-site services resources with the experience to make implementation stress-free, on-time, and for a fixed price.
Let us work with you to optimize your protection system to minimize risk while also minimizing false alerts and trips.
Let us work with your plant maintenance personnel to optimize the actionable information provided by the system.
Let us work with your engineering, operations, and maintenance people to design custom rule sets to take your decision support system to the next level of productivity.
Are your skilled resources limited? Do you place a higher value on having your personnel concentrate on your core business? If your answers to these questions are Yes, then consider using us to manage your machinery protection and management system. It's our core business.
No in-house on-site machinery experts? Consider using our skilled machinery diagnostics and machinery management engineers to support your plant maintenance personnel both on-site and remotely. You get 40 years of machinery experience on all types of machinery backed up by the world class support of Bently Rotor Dynamics Research Corporation.
