T.D. Williamson, Inc., is a 75-year-old specialty firm that manufactures the world's most complete line of pipe maintenance and service equipment for any transmission, distribution, oil or industrial piping application. TDW makes and sells pipeline scrapers (pipeline pigs), pipeline geometry inspection tools, polyethylene fusion pipe joining equipment (butt fusion equipment), gas leak detection devices, pipe squeeze tools, hot tap fittings and hot tapping and pipe plugging systems (also known as line stopping, line plugging or hydro-stopping equipment).

We developed the world's first pipeline scrapers (pipe pigs) for pipeline rehabilitation in the 1940s. Today we engineer pigs for many types of pipe cleaning jobs, along with a full line of pigging accessories such as pig traps and closures, pig launchers and pig passage indicators. Our expertise makes line intervention possible for pipe repair, pipe maintenance or new pipeline construction. When used with our drilling machines or tapping machines, our patented STOPPLE® Plugging Machines and SHORTSTOPP® Plugging Machines allow maintenance work to go on without shutdown or product spillage while a pipeline is under pressure.

TDW is ISO 9001 and 9002 certified. Our contract pipeline services division has the experience and capability to alter, repair, install valves, replace valves or perform other live pipe modifications to any piping system while it remains in service, under pressure and under flowing conditions. TDW's PIPELINE SURVEYS™ division also conducts nearly 10,000 miles of electronic pipeline inspections per year. From gas mains to water mains, with hundreds of other applications in between, we can answer your questions about pipeline maintenance without interrupting the flow of liquids or gases.
