Ultrasonic flaw detection is a widely used method to nondestructively detect and characterize hidden internal defects

Ultrasonic flaw detection is a widely used method to nondestructively detect and characterize hidden internal defects in engineering materials such as metals, plastics, and composites. High frequency sound waves will reflect from cracks, voids, or other material discontinuities producing distinctive echo patterns. In 1984, Panametrics introduced the world's first portable digital ultrasonic flaw detector, the EPOCH 2002. Since then, we have made continuous improvements to new flaw detection equipment. The newest EPOCH Windows-based Interface Program is the most extensive and flexible documentation program available. We offer the following flaw detectors: EPOCH III, EPOCH IIIB, and EPOCH IIB.
