As a trusted Category H fabricator - Porvair have also in recent years developed Universal Pig Traps for inserting pigs into a gas pipeline then launching, receiving, and finally removing them without flow interruption. Typically these pigs are used for the cleaning and inspection of the gas pipelines.

Porvair Universal Pig Traps, designed and manufactured to meet the strict safety requirements of T/SP/E/56, are provided fully painted and complete with monitors to confirm the launch or receipt of the pipeline pig. The pigs are utilised for the purposes of pipeline cleaning and telemetry based inspection of pipelines. The equipment is designed and constructed to suit either fixed installation or mobile operations.
