Well drawing software first with multilateral and deviated well diagram drawing capabilities
Created in response to demand for an effective way to draw multilateral wells by loyal users of StringView, AnTech's flagship well visualization software, AnTech's team of oilfield software engineers has completely re-written the graphics engine in an effort to provide a customized tool specifically for the oil industry engineer. Available at www.stringviewonline.com, StringView Online LE offers the perfect solution to those responsible for producing a wide range of high quality well diagrams.
To access the program, all the user needs is a PC that is connected to the web running Win98, WinNT4 or better. The StringView Online LE user can define the well trajectory with a simple series of mouse clicks, then superimpose pre-drawn icons to create the desired diagram. The program intelligently plots the intersections between different branches of a multilateral well to give the correct visual appearance. Finally, the completed diagram can be cut and pasted into standard desktop applications such as MS Word or MS Excel for labeling and identification.
Another key benefit of using StringView Online LE to create well diagrams is the size of the file. The file size is very small, which means that it may be easily emailed for review to clients, colleagues, and customers. To make life even easier, a StringView Online LE file can be easily emailed to the recipient from within the program itself as an attachment, so there is no need to transfer the file to an independent email program to send. By sending it from within the program, the recipient receives an email from the sender that simply states that the file is attached for their review.

Diagram complexity
According to AnTech, the unique aspect of StringView Online LE is that it can be used to draw multilateral and deviated wells in a way that is simply not possible with any other drawing software program on the market today.
"The vector graphics, shading, and intelligent multilateral drawing capabilities create a well diagram that is visually stunning. In the past, trained computer technicians using expensive software programs were required to create diagrams of this quality," said Richard Stevens, StringView Product Line Team Leader for Antech Oilfield Software.
"The real difference is that it's much more user-friendly for oilfield engineers because it's tailored for their specific needs. With StringView Online LE, virtually anyone can produce extraordinary, high quality diagrams of multilateral and deviated wells. The range and complexity of the diagrams that can be created is limited only by the user's imagination," he added.
In addition to StringView® Online's essential drawing capabilities, higher quality well diagrams may now be produced in much less time, which results in reduced production costs. This is possible because companies are no longer faced with the task of investing time and money in training staff to use complicated, technical software programs to generate accurate, effective well diagrams.
AnTech Oilfield Software is also keenly aware of the corporate customer's concerns regarding the time and effort involved in monitoring software licensed for use by its employees. Because StringView Online LE may only be used online, AnTech Oilfield Services can easily track all users, thereby reducing the corporate customer's administrative overhead normally invested in this ongoing exercise.
Potential users are invited to view sample StringView Online LE well diagrams at www.stringviewonline.com. For unlimited use of StringView Online LE, users may register free-of-charge for full access to the StringView Online LE online, or by contacting AnTech Oil Software.
First step toward software rental
AnTech Oilfield Software's decision to offer StringView Online LE free-of-charge for the foreseeable future was made for several reasons. From a strategic standpoint, it is the company's first step towards providing customers with the opportunity to rent StringView and related software programs in the future.
Second, AnTech Oilfield Software launched StringView Online LE to offer users a special preview of StringView Millennium, which will feature not only the full range of well drawing capabilities, but further improvements in document layout, connectivity, and outline data storage.
