Seal-Tite provides sealant services for leaks in the hangers and pack-offs in wellheads. On a leaking wellhead system, the Seal-Tite service engineer injects the sealant into the test ports or from the annulus or through the tubing. At the leak site, the sealant polymerizes into a flexible solid only at the leak site. Within a few hours, the leak has been cured and the integrity of the hanger seals or pack-off seals has been restored.
In Australia, the operator was unable to gas lift a number of wells due to wellhead leaks that prevented pressurization of the casing. Seal-Tite performed successful sealant operations on three of the leaking wellheads. By curing the wellhead leaks, the operator has been able to gas lift the wells and bring significant additional production on-line.
