With 5,000 Sucessful Marine Installations, GF Piping Systems To Feature Proven Piping System At OTC 2017
Now with 5,000 trouble-free installations of its Marine Piping System, GF Piping Systems is pleased to feature this highly proven US Coast Guard approved system at the Offshore Technology Conference, Booth #8843, May 1-4, 2017 at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. GF Piping Systems will exhibit SeaCor plastic piping, SeaDrain Plus black and gray water piping, and Signet Instrumentation.
SeaCor a US Coast Guard-approved (USCG) marine thermoplastic piping system suitable for potable, gray and black water piping system that meets IMO requirements for flame spread, low smoke and toxicity. SeaCor also carries a MRA Type Approval from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS). Typical installation locations include shipboard Category A machinery spaces, accommodation spaces, control spaces, cofferdams, void spaces, and pipe tunnels withount the need of fire sprinklers and/or fire detection systems.

Compared to copper pipe, SeaCor plastic pipe offers significant weight savings ranging from 36 percent for ½” pipe to 57 percent for 6” pipe. Lighter weight provides faster installation and helps vessel fuel efficiency, thus lowering costs both up-front and over time. SeaCor is available in ½” through 6” (up to 12“ available for special ordering) Schedule 80 nominal pipe sizes and tees, elbows, couplings, adapters, and flanges. Operating tempertures are from 32°F (0°C) to 210°F (99°C) with working pressure of 280 PSI (19 Bar) at 73°F.
SeaDrain Plus also a US Coast Guard approved and IMO fully compliant black and gray water pipe drainage electro fuseable system that provides safe operation on vessels and platforms. Standard sizes range from 1 ½“ – 6“ (12“ available for special ordering). Adaptor unions for transitioning from plastic to metal enable a fast connection in case of repairs and renovation of existing systems.
