In light of the successful developments of unconventional reservoirs in the US, and as the era of easy oil and gas production is rapidly moving towards its inevitable end, the oil-reliable Middle East and North Africa (MENA) countries have no choice but to start paying closer attention to the potential of unconventional reservoir in the area. Several MENA countries have already taken the lead and started exploring the potential of unconventional reservoirs, a trend that is expected to increase in the near future and to spread to all other MENA countries. This workshop will provide a platform for experts to present and share case histories, innovations and technologies citing challenges and opportunities faced while exploring for and producing unconventional prospects.
