Staged in an intimate setting, an SPE workshop brings together E&P professionals with common roles and business or technology challenges to collaborate and solve problems together.Data is widely acknowledged as a corporate asset. Today the five most valuable publicly held companies in the world derive a significant part of their value and competitive edge from data. It is easy for these companies to treat data as a strategic asset because it is inherent to their business model and key to their success. However, companies whose major product is not data have been slower to create a corporate culture that understands, values, and promotes data as a strategic corporate asset.Companies, including those in the oil and gas industry, have traditionally focused on improving their core products and services and acknowledged data as an asset but not treated as one. The emergence of the fourth industrial revolution has created a new opportunity and motivation for companies in the oil and gas industry to take a fresh look at the role data plays in their business operations. Increases in productivity and profitability are available to companies that successfully implement new approaches such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and predictive analytics. However, this success is completely dependent on the availability of high-quality data that meets the needs of the business. The value of data must be understood by each contributor across its lifecycle from the data producers to the data consumers and knowledge workers. It is the role of data management to create this new data culture.Time: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.Category: Classes / Courses | Professional Training | Meetup & Networking.Sub-Categories:Conferences | Energy & Environment | Oil & Gas,Classes / Courses | Professional Training | Classes, Courses & Workshops.Prices:SPE Member Rate: USD 1260.00.Nonmember Rate: USD 1470.00.
