The region's premier integrated downstream event builds on its 15 year legacy with Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Company (TAKREER) returning as co-hosts of this seminal 3 day regional downstream summit. The first day features a closed door workshop presented by Axens on unveiling the Modern FCC in a Diesel & Petrochemical Oriented Refinery. The main conference will be opened by Mr Jasem Ali Al Sayegh, CEO of Abu Dhabi International Refining Company (TAKREER), who will give an overview of the Ruwais Refinery Expansion. The morning key note sessions include Jean Viallefont, VOP Orient Zone, TOTAL, speaking about their Antwerp refinery integration; Michael Millard, SVP & GM – Catalysts, Adsorbents and Specialties, UOP, who will assess the impact of technological innovation such as CTM, Crude to Olefins and shale gas technology. KNPC will present a case study on the integration of Naptha Feed into Equate and subsequent impacts on petrochemical profitability. Takreer will explore base oil integration as a means to add value followed by a panel discussing technology and integration featuring Jean Sentenac, CEO, Axens, Omar Bahobail, CEO Al Waha Petrochemicals and Michael Millard. A catalyst best practice debate follows with 3 leading providers answering questions on optimization of catalysts and catalyst technology followed by presentations by Takreer and Invensys, on modelling and simulation. Day two opens with an economist’s panel debating the future of the downstream industry in the wake of the changing commercial realities.
