With the current volatility in the industry, this workshop presents an excellent opportunity to share experiences and best practices among local and international experts with an objective to reduce well cost, improve HSE, maintain well integrity, and increase the oil/gas production and water/gas injection during the well’s life cycle. Drilling horizontal wells require proper planning by cross discipline teams interacting to produce a high quality programme to be executed by the drilling operations in the most efficient and cost efficient manner. There are many challenges in drilling horizontal wells such as hole cleaning, torque and drag, stuck pipe, well bore collapse, achieve and control well targets, well completion, and design for future intervention. Today, to extract value from complex horizontal wells with increasing cost and risk, it will require all of us, operators and service providers, to jointly exercise all efforts to exchange field proven practices and capitalise on the success stories to reduce overall cost by selecting proper technologies and innovative solutions to become “The Name Of The Game”. The workshop format will be a mixture of keynote speakers, panel sessions, and breakout sessions and will bring together industry experts to share their best practices and lessons learnt, with the objective for all participants to benefit from attending the workshop.
