Moisture In Natural Gas
5/7/2021
All natural gas contains water (moisture) which is measured in natural gas pipelines at production and gathering sites, custody transfer points, compression stations, storage facilities and in the distribution markets. Several methods are used for dehydration such as pressurizing, chilling, and absorption processes that use liquid and solid desiccants. Commonly, dehydration is achieved in the field with triethylene glycol (TEG) contactors. Glycol carryover to the analyzer is more likely at closer proximities to the outlet.

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Available Options For Measuring Wastewater Flow In Partially Filled Pipes
4/8/2021
A variety of devices can be used for measuring water or wastewater flow where pipes cannot be kept full. Examples include open channel flow (OCF) devices like flumes and weirs in combination with secondary level measurement devices and/or electromagnetic flow (EMF) meter options. Each has its pluses and minuses. However, new proven EMF technology can deliver higher accuracy and the best performance when sized for flow rates at levels above 25 percent filled pipe. It also offers a safer environment, simpler installation, and better measuring performance than other available options.

Real-Time Heavy Metal Monitoring For Oil & Gas
3/25/2021
Large, distributed water networks are not well-suited for conventional water monitoring processes which rely on manual sampling and lab testing. In particular, this midstream oil and gas company had a need to detect Iron, Selenium, and other heavy metals at a precise level comparable to a lab. In addition, it wasn’t feasible to manually test the entire water system at the requisite frequency. Finally, instrument reliability and unplanned downtime were an issue.

Utilizing Thermal Mass Flow Meters To Optimize Thermal Oxidizer Performance And Reduce HAP/VOC Emissions
3/16/2021
Many processes in the oil/gas refining, specialty chemical production, solvents, paint, coatings and photoelectric industries generate hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) and volatile organic chemicals (VOCs), which need to be removed from waste, flue and tail gases before emission into the environment to meet clean air regulations around the world. In addition to removing problematic greenhouse gases, emphasis is placed on eliminating toxins that can be harmful to industrial workers and the environment.

What Is GWT Zeroturb Bio-Organic Liquid Flocculant
2/18/2021
The treatment solution is used in both water utilities and industries for the reduction and removal of inorganic and organic particles including silt, sediment, algae, dyes and trace heavy metal reduction and removal. ZeoTurb liquid replaces (alum), and other synthetic polymer chemistry and commodity and metal salt type products such as polyamide, ferric chloride, and polyaluminum chloride (PAC), providing a solution that does not introduce additional chemicals, salts or metals in the water system.
